Darwin Hobbs is ready to
release his first best of
CD September 25.
Simply entitled, “The
Best of Darwin Hobbs”
the new project includes the
singer’s career highlights.
From the soul-stirring So
Amazing to the hip hop
inspired track Everyday,
produced by Fred Jerkins of
Darkchild Entertainment. The
singer’s repertoire is almost
as boundless as it is
breathtaking.
“The Best of Darwin
Hobbs” showcases the
Atlanta-based artist's wide
range of vocal acrobatics --
from worship and majestic
ballads to smooth R&B styles.
The 12-songs include
additional Hobbs’ classics “I
Give You Praise,” “Deeper,”
“Glorify Him” and
“Wonderland,” with a suggested
retail price of $13.99.
Hobbs launched his debut solo
CD Mercy in 1999. He followed
with the best-selling
Vertical project in
2001. It featured the gospel
smash “Everyday” with Michael
McDonald and his stunning
gospel rendition of “So
Amazing”. Hobbs’ prior
collection Broken,
was his highest charting
project to date, peaking at #3
on the Billboard gospel sales
chart in 2003. Hobbs released
is last album Worshipper in
2005. It featured the chart
topping single “Glorify” Him”
and a soulful remake of Twila
Paris’ “He Is Exalted.”
Hobbs’ new best of
project is his greatest
collected works together on
one CD. One might agree that
Hobbs has always been able to
caress the melodies with the
sensitivity of a mature
vocalist and recklessly cross
musical boundaries with his
vocal instrument.
“The Best of Darwin
Hobbs” is sure to
bring spiritual peace and
happiness to anyone who
listens.
